Calligraphy & Brush Painting Course

Chinese Calligraphy is regarded as one of the most abstract and sublime forms of art in Chinese culture. Calligraphy serves to convey thought and shows the 'abstract' beauty of rhythm, line, style and structure.  Brush painting is another important part of calligraphy, as it is famed for its unique oriental styles and features. SCIC's Calligraphy and Brush Painting course lets students learn basic character styles and obtain a general knowledge of both Chinese calligraphy and brush painting. Learning calligraphy is fun and creative, stimulating body and mind and enhancing your knowledge of Chinese culture.

This course is available in combination with Martial Arts training. Students will be study two or three times a week at SCIC Beijing's Cultural Centre. Courses are taught mostly in Chinese with an English interpreter provided, and transportation will be provided to the centre from host universities and schools.
